10 Best Ways to Repurpose Your Blog Content
You just wrote an amazing well-researched blog, now you can either let it sit there or you can recycle its content to fuel your other marketing channels. Content creation takes A LOT of time – it’s not easy to pump quality content out every week.
This is the beauty of repurposing blog content: you can take content that you’ve already written and re-work it to fuel your other marketing efforts. If it’s great content, why not reuse it?
Repurposing blog content has many benefits – here are a few:
Inherit more time
Reach new audiences
Get more value out of your current content
What Content to Repurpose
Now it’s important to note that we don’t recommend repurposing ALL content. Certain blog posts are geared more towards this method than others.
Evergreen content. These blogs usually cover a topic that’ll be continuously searched and will be relevant no matter how much time has passed. Common evergreen content formats are listicles, how-to guides, or tips. Blogs that are based on trends or more timely information may not be the best ones to repurpose because they might not be relevant anymore. You’re going to want to recycle content that’ll provide long-term value and doesn’t have an expiration date.
Popular content with high engagement. You want to be looking for which posts resonated with your audience the most. This could be which ones had the most shares on your socials, the highest monthly traffic, most views, or the longest time spent on a page. By recycling evergreen content that your audience previously enjoyed, you’ll be able to repromote the information in new ways and reach new eyes.
10 Ways to Repurpose Blog Content
Once you’ve got your popular, evergreen content ready, let’s dig into how to repurpose it:
1. Turn it into an Ebook.
You can take this in a few different directions. Option 1: Turn one blog post into an extended Ebook version. Or you can combine a set of related posts to create an Ebook complete guide. Already wrote an Ebook? Turn it into a set of blog posts!
A common thing for Ebook downloads is to require some customer info (name, company, email address, etc.) before getting access. Ebooks do take time to create, so you won’t be writing one every week. But this is a great way to rework your content and grow your email subscriber list.
2. Build content upgrades.
Content upgrades are short, bonus pieces of downloadable content people can get in exchange for their email. This concept works very similarly to other lead magnets like Ebooks and is a great way to build your email list.
Take a blog post and use it to create content upgrades. Here are a few ideas to get your gears turning:
Checklists
Quick Guides
Templates
Content upgrades help bring new leads into the funnel and give you another way to keep in touch with your audience: their inboxes!
3. Start social blogging.
Not feeling like your evergreen content is reaching the number of people you want? Consider social blogging to boost your reach to an established audience. Websites like Medium and Quora are a few examples of sites to share your content.
For Medium, specifically, content can either be original or syndicated. This means you can either use your past blog to create new content or repost it directly. Be sure to go through the proper process to syndicate your content on Medium.
You’ll know you did this correctly if you see verbiage like this at the bottom of your post:
This is an important step so that search engines understand that original post can be found on your website, not on Medium. Even better, readers may decide to click on the link and explore more of your site’s content!

4. Pull quotes and stats to post on Twitter or LinkedIn.
A great way to continue promoting your blog content is to post a series of quotes and stats on Twitter and LinkedIn. Don’t just pull one highlight to post and stop there!
Keep pulling compelling quotes or statistics to use as headlines, then link to your blog. This will help increase engagement and drive more traffic to your site. The options are really unlimited here in terms of how many unique social posts you can create for just one blog.
You can use tools like Buffer or Hootsuite to create and schedule your posts ahead of time.
5. Turn it into a script for a video or podcast.
Video should be an integral part of your marketing strategy no matter the size of your business. A recent survey found that videos helped increase brand awareness by 70% and website traffic by 51%.
Awesome, right? And video creation doesn’t need to be hard either. You’ve got evergreen content just waiting to be turned into a simple, well-done video.
Use blog content to write a script for the video (or video series) to post on YouTube. Or you can even create a podcast since podcasts are very popular right now.
Be sure to transcribe any videos for better SEO. Once your video has been made, go back and embed it into the original blog post.
6. Create smaller video clips to post on your socials.
Don’t have the bandwidth for creating long videos? An easier option is to use a blog to create shorter video clips for Instagram Reels or Facebook. Use your iPhone camera, professional equipment, or other websites to create neat animations.
Video is considered interruptive content, making people stop their scroll to watch and leave them wanting more. As long as your video clips have some sort of call-to-action driving them back to your profile or blog link, you’re golden.
7. Highlight important concepts in an infographic.
A great way to boost your existing blog content is to make it that much easier to understand. Visuals are processed 60,000 times faster than text. This is a major game-changer in repurposing and supporting your existing content.
Infographics are a great way to do this by turning your written content into something visually striking. Embed the visual into your blog post to aid comprehension, then post it on your social channels to inspire interest and urge them to want to learn more.
8. Create an email series using your blog content.
You can also your blog content to create an email drip campaign. After someone signs up for your email list, a series of emails can be automatically sent over a set number of days.
With this, you can get super creative to engage your email subscribers in new ways. Within your email series, include blog teaser summaries, exclusive extra pieces of content, infographics, and video content.
Make sure to automate your campaign in your email platform of choice to save time by designing in advance and ensuring that emails are sent out on schedule!
9. Write a round-up post.
Round-up posts are one of the easier ways to reuse your most popular evergreen content. The best part: these posts are combined into one neatly packaged blog. It’s a convenient way to group popular content into one place for easy access, without having to create anything new.
All you have to do is find your most popular posts, then put them into a blog that links back to their original place on your site. Viewers then have a place to read some of your most popular work over a certain period.
10. Write more blog posts and articles.
This is the most obvious, but sometimes the most missed opportunity. A good way to create new blogs from existing content is to use the hub and spoke method.
A great example of this is converting a listicle into a series of individual blog posts. Essentially you just pull the outline you used to write the initial blog, then boom! You have 5-6 new topics to write more posts on.
Now that you’re equipped with all the ways to repurpose your content, what will you do first?
